07. How to submit news to Wisinfo?
The Wisinfo welcomes news from readers. Below are some guidelines to help you
contact us.
1) Email:
We prefer material that is typed, but clear printing is acceptable. The exact form of the news is not important, but every press release or announcement should tell us: who, what, where and when.
1. Who is involved? (If it's an organization, please don't use abbreviations. The readers might not befamiliar with them.)
2. What is the news story or event?
3. Where is the news happening?
4. When is the news happening?
5. Is there a name and phone number where readers can get more information?
Very important: Be sure to include the name and phone number of someone that a reporter can call if there are any questions about the announcement. Tell us whether this name and number is for publication or just for our use.
2) Photos:
We cannot promise to use all of the photos we receive, but we do encourage you to send them for consideration. Please be sure to identify all the people in the photo. (The identification should be written or taped to the back of the photo.)
If you have any questions that are not covered in this section
please email the Gannett Wisconsin Online Department.
