Refugees should be entitled to same level of public assistance as unemployed residents receive.

Sharon Cekada has been a photojournalist at The Post-Crescent since 1995. A native of Bainbridge, Ohio, Cekada received a bachelor's degree in photojournalism from Kent State University in 1993. She lives in Appleton.

Hlee Vang has been in the newspaper business for about eight years and began news reporting for the Oshkosh Northwestern two years ago. Vang was born in Thailand and came to the United States in 1987. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 2003 and lives in Oshkosh.

Keith Uhlig has been a newspaper reporter for about 14 years. He joined the Wausau Daily Herald primarily as an education reporter in 2000. Uhlig grew up in Colby, Wis., and earned a bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. He lives in Wausau.
