June R. Kurtz

June R. Kurtz, age 80, of 5434 Superior Avenue, Sheboygan, died Saturday, November 14, 2009 at her residence after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

She was born November 8, 1929 in Brillion, WI, a daughter of the late Robert and Frieda (Zenk) Heinga.

June was a 1947 graduate of Brillion High School.

On November 1, 1952, June was united in marriage to Otto A. Kurtz in Brillion.

She had been a bookkeeper with WI Public Service, Badger Freightways and Olson Trucking, retiring to care for her family's needs.

June placed her family first in her life. She enjoyed fishing, sitting in the sun, gardening and baking cookies for her family and friends. She also had a love of animals, especially cats and dogs, and enjoyed playing the lottery.

Surviving June is her loving husband, Otto; a son, Dennis of Sheboygan; a daughter, Diane Greger (special friend, Scott Gangler) of the Town of Wilson; a grandson, Daniel Inouskis; a sister, Pearl Dexheimer of Brillion; a sister-in-law, Dolores Voight of Sheboygan; special family friend, Rita Inouskis of Sheboygan.

In addition to her parents, June was also preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia and Doris, and an infant brother.

A Memorial Service and gathering will be held for June on Friday, November 20, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Zimmer's Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Road (Hwy 42 and Cty JJ). Reverend Gregory Whelton will officiate. Entombment will be in the Chapel of Eternal Light Mausoleum in the town of Sheboygan. Friends may call on the family on Friday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service.

A memorial fund has been established in June's name.

The Kurtz family wishes to thank the St. Nicholas Hospital Home Hospice staff, including Terri and Mary Ann, for the care she received during her illness.
