College awards: Preble grad Lani earns NAC honor

Jacqui Lani, a senior goalkeeper at Dominican University, has been named to the all-Northern Athletics Conference women's soccer first team.

Lani, a former Green Bay Preble standout, was the league's top goalkeeper with a 0.46 goals against average this season. Dominican finished in second place in the NAC with a 9-2-0 mark and was runner-up in the league tournament.

Lani also was named to the league's all-sportsmanship team.

  • Former Green Bay Southwest standout Jerrid Dokey, a senior forward for the Edgewood College men's soccer team, has been named to the all-NAC first team.

    Dokey tied for the team lead with 27 points (10 goals, seven assists) this season.

    Dokey also was named to the league's all-sportsmanship team.

    Volleyball

    New London graduate Caitlin Hogan, a junior outside hitter at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, was named to the all-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference first team. Hogan led the Warhawks and was third in the WIAC in kills with 359. It was Hogan's second straight first-team honor.
