Waupaca County Coroner Barry Tomaras said Robert G. Freiburger died of multiple traumatic injuries. Tomaras said Freiburger was wearing a helmet and noted that the setting sun may have been a factor in the crash.

The Waupaca County Sheriff's Department said Freiburger was driving his motorcycle west on County X when he failed to stop for a stop sign at State 110. He was ejected from the cycle after striking the front of a pickup truck that was headed south on 110.

Police said the pickup was driven by Scott Van Epps of Gleason, Wis., who was not injured.
