PABA kicks off Christmas campaign

For the Stevens Point Journal

It's that time of the year again to start gearing up for this year's Plover Area Business Association Christmas Presents from the Heart Campaign. We are off to a great start this season, thanks to Duraclean and PABA President Tammy Jankowski who presented Sue Doxrude from M&I Bank with a check for $1,704. This money was raised from Duraclean's third annual brat fry held this past summer. Doxrude is a PABA Backer and the chairperson for our 2009 Christmas Presents from the Heart Campaign.

As in the past, we have several collection sites for our campaign and encourage all to give as Operation Bootstrap is in need of many items for our less fortunate neighbors. The campaign runs through Dec. 10. Please drop off your generous donations to these following businesses:

• Associated Bank -- Plover Office

• Central Wisconsin Credit Union -- Plover

• Clifton Gunderson CPA Office

• Stevens Point Community First Bank

• Stevens Point Copps Food Center

• Plover M&I Bank

• Plover Office Members Advantage Credit Union

• Plover Office Portage County Bank

• Plover and Business Park WoodTrust Bank -- Plover office

Monetary donations may be made at the above locations as well as:

• Big Apple Bagels -- Plover

• Hampton Inn -- Plover

• Sky Club -- Plover

Please open up your heart and spread some joy this holiday season.

Contributed by Tammy Jankowski, Plover Area Business Association president.
