Irmgard Fuss, 82, of Wausau, died Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, at her home under the care of her good friend Rita Wakeen and Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services, Wausau.

Irmgard was born Sept. 10, 1927, in Ettenbuttel, Germany, to the late Wihelm and Martha (Hansen) Williges. She married Reinhard Fuss on April 28, 1948. He preceded her in death Oct. 16, 2007.

Survivors include three daughters, Karin (David) McFadden, Appleton, Mary (Jim) Scheffler, and Gisela Marks, all of Wausau; 10 grandchildren, Kristine (Dominick) Dutton, Kurt Danielson, Heather McFadden, Meaghen (Christopher) Peters, Alexia (Jeremy) Hadfield, Ryan-Brooks (Eddie) Thurow, Eric Scheffler, Samuel Scheffler, Matthew Marks and Benjamin Marks; six great-grandchildren, Emma Dutton, Zachary Goehler, Amelia and Lucy Hadfield, Sean Vincelette, and Hailey Peters; and three sisters, Erika Sammann of Rib Mountain, Ilsa Kunupper and Hildegard Bomball, both of Germany. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Irmhild; and siblings, Willi, Ernst and Martha.

Memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, at the Brainard Funeral Home, Wausau.
