Brodie Barksdale Sr. Brodie Barksdale Sr. died Sunday, November 8, 2009 at Northpoint Medical & Rehabilitation. He was born on January 18, 1929 to the late Haywood and Cora Malone Barksdale in Holly Springs, Mississippi.
He accepted Christ at an early age and joined Jones Grove M. B. Church, where he served on the Deacon board until he moved to Oakland, CA.
A memorial service for Brodie will be held Saturday November 14, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, Rev. Paul Stevens officiating. There will be one hour of visitation before the service.

Delbert A. Tollard Delbert A. Tollard, age 82, of Oshkosh, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, November 10, 2009. He was born on July 5, 1927 in Ladysmith, Wisconsin, a son of the late Benjamin M. and Rose M. (Meidle) Tollard. He proudly served his country during WWII in the US Navy. Del married Dorothy Kojan on July 5, 1947. She preceded him death.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held (TODAY), Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Poklasny Funeral Home, 870 W. South Park Avenue with the Reverend Ralph Hanusa officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Herbert ‘Herbie’ Barleben Herbert “Herbie” Barleben, age 79, of the Town of Poygan, died Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh. He was born June 7, 1930 in West Berlin, Germany, and in 1957 Herbie moved from Germany to Chicago. On May 31, 1958 he married Lore Hornig in Chicago where they made their home until 1972 at which time Herbie and Lore moved to Poygan.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 12 p.m. at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 8 S. Fourth St. Winneconne, with Pastor Mark Albrecht officiating. A Visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.

Frances Alvina (Freund) Blount Frances Alvina (Freund) Blount, formerly of Appleton, WI, completed her 88-year mission on October 13, 2009, in Fort Collins, CO at Pathways Hospice of Larimer County. Her grandchildren loved having Nana living with them and she was their best friend Grandma. Frances loved phone calls, writing and receiving letters from the friends she left behind in Wisconsin.
In June, her little brother John L. Freund and his family came from Omro, WI, to Colorado. It was a joyful visit of laughing and sharing a lifetime of memories.
Entombment took place at the Mausoleum at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.The family is hosting a memorial celebration on December 12, 2009, 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Parish 730 Madison Ave. Omro, WI. This the same church that Frances made her Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation and was married to Harold L. Blount on February 1, 1947. Lunch will follow at the Fin-n-Feather in Winneconne, WI.
Terri Lynn (nee Grant) Texeira Terri Lynn (nee Grant) Texeira, age 49, of West Allis, formerly of Oshkosh, died Monday, November 9, 2009. Terri was born October 24, 1960, in Oshkosh WI. Terri was the dear daughter of James and Susan (Haidlinger) Grant. She was educated in the Milwaukee Schools and was a graduate of Juneau High School in Milwaukee. Terri had lived most of her life between Milwaukee and Oshkosh.
She was an avid Green Bay Packer Fan and enjoyed doing crafts, country music, and making blankets. Terri was a good person who had a passion for helping survivors of domestic violence. Family and friends fondly recall Terri as a loving daughter, mother, grandma, sister, aunt, and friend who enjoyed spending time with them all.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Fox Cities Funeral Home from 1 p.m. to the time of the Memorial Service at 3 p.m. Terri will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be appreciated towards her grandson’s education.

Theresa “Terry” C. (Buyeske) Fahley Theresa “Terry” C. (Buyeske) Fahley, age 81, of Winneconne, peacefully went to be with her Lord, on Tuesday, November 10, 2009, after a short battle with cancer. She was born on December 21, 1927 on a farm in Gresham, Wisconsin, the youngest daughter of thirteen children born to Joseph and Theresa (Weber) Stoehr.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2009, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 210 Pleasant Drive Winneconne. Inurnment will be in the Winneconne Cemetery. A Visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass.

Sister Alisa Prickett Sister Alisa Prickett, age 76, of Dubuque, Iowa, died Monday, Nov. 9, 2009 at Sinsinawa, WI. Sr. Alisa, born March 18, 1933 in Oshkosh, WI to Alice Taylor and George Prickett, made her first profession Aug. 5, 1955.
The Funeral Mass is to be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, at Queen of the Rosary Chapel, Sinsinawa, WI with burial in the Motherhouse Cemetery. Friends may call after 5:15 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, at the Motherhouse, where there will be a wake and remembering service at 6:30 p.m. Hoffmann Schneider Funeral Home Dubuque, Iowa is in charge of arrangements.
Sr. Alisa ministered in elementary schools for 36 years, 19 as teacher, 17 as principal. Following a sabbatical, Sister spent eight years in parish ministry; one, in family care; a year and a half, as transportation manager at the Mother-house; and six years as a volunteer at Saint Dominic Villa. Her ministry took her to Wisconsin, New Jersey, Illinois, New York, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Iowa,
