Pagel, Grant R.

Grant R. Pagel, 95, Abrams, passed away Monday, November 9, 2009, at his home.

Grant was born December 25, 1913, in Little Suamico to the late William and Martha (Schulke) Pagel.

He married Marcella Bartz on September 25, 1937. She preceded him in death on September 14, 2005.

Grant owned and operated a Cheese Co. his entire life. He loved golfing and playing cards. Grant was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Lt. Suamico.

Grant is survived by a daughter Carolyn (Don) Kieler, Georgetown, Florida; a son Roger (Bonnie) Pagel, Brookside; a brother Leland Pagel, Pulaski. Also 4 grandchildren Brad (Megan) Pagel, Wausau; Chad (Charity Bayer) Pagel, Pulaski; Valerie (Dan) Snyder, Fernandina Beach, Fla.; Leslie Kieler, Seattle, Wash.; 9 great-grandchildren Kurtis, Melissa, and Kyle Pagel; Gabriel, Madeline and Deegan Pagel; Cameron, Benjamin and Zachary Snyder. Grant was preceded in death by two brothers Bud and Arlin Pagel, a grandson Matthew Pagel, and a sister-in-law Clarice Pagel.

Friends may call at St. John's Lutheran Church, Little Suamico, from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, November 14, 2009. Funeral service will be conducted 5 p.m. at the church with Pastor Solveig A. H. Zamzow officiating. Entombment will be at Nicolet Memorial Garden, Green Bay. The Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto is assisting the family.
