Glodowski, Russell "Russ"

Russell "Russ" Glodowski, 72, Green Bay, died unexpectedly Tuesday, November 10, 2009, at a local hospital.

Born in Stevens Point, June 13, 1937, he is the son of the late Edmund and Johanna (Pezewski) Glodowski.

Russ served in the United States Marine Corps for 4 years during the Korean War.

He married the former Delores Mansavage October 31, 1959, in Custer.

Russ retired from Green Bay Packaging after 37 years of service. When his children were younger he donated a lot of his time to the Boy Scouts. In retirement, he spent time traveling and enjoyed going to the casinos.

Russ is survived by his wife of 50 years, Delores; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Mark Mistele; 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Patrick and Therese Glodowski, David and Christine Glodowski, and Jerome Glodowski (special friend, Laurie Devroy) all of Green Bay; Jessica Mistele (special friend, Jessica Cychosz), Christopher Mistele, Nicole Hughes, Chad (MacKenzie) Glodowski, and Jay Glodowski; great grandchildren, Izak and Noah Glodowski, Wyatt and Liam Hughes; godchild, Ken Glodowski; 4 sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia and Tony Hirzy, Carol and Dale Lloyd all of Plover, Rosalie and Don Cisewski of Stevens Point, and Jim and Kathy Butler of Custer; 3 brothers and sisters-in-law, Harlan and Rita Glodowski of Custer, and Roger and Marlene Glodowski of Harshaw, and Ronald and Eileen Glodowski of Stevens Point; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Larry (Donna) Glodowski and Minfred Glodowski; and goddaughter, Cindy Glodowski.

Visitation at MALCORE (East) Funeral Home, University Ave. Friday from 4-8 p.m. Parish wake service 7:30 p.m. Friday. Saturday's visitation will continue at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 1 p.m. at SS. Peter & Paul Church, with Monsignor Roy Klister officiating.
