David W. Scherer

David W. Scherer, age 51, of Wausau, passed away Monday, November 2, at 10:52 a.m., at Asperius Hospital in Wausau, WI. He was born September 13, 1958 in Benton Harbor, MI, the grandson of Charles G. Scherer and Lois M. Scherer; son of Betty E. Nicholas and Robert G. Scherer. His brother Robert M. Scherer preceded him in death.

Survivors include his mother; sisters: Diana L. (Ken) Abhold of Eden, WI, Karen J. (Chuck) Esau of Clinton, WI; niece Angie Popp; great nephew Julyan Westberger, Menasha, WI; nephews: Charles Esau, Ohio, Eric Scherer, Peru, Indiana; and 5 nieces and great nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He worked for Mayflower Moving, Duell Safety Ladder, Lapham Hickey and painted. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Waterveliet, MI. He loved to fish, hunt, race in snowmobile and motorcycle races, and go camping.

The family wishes to thank some good friends, Keri and Linda.

A memorial service will be held at South End Zone from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday the 13th.
