The first season of the Jacksonport Farmers Market was a great success. Thanks to all those who participated and also to those who supported and attended the market regularly every Tuesday morning at Lakeside Park in downtown Jacksonport.
The Farmers Market became a gathering place for the purchase of fresh vegetables, flowers, fruit, handmade soap, jewelry, canned goods, honey, maple syrup, pies and more. Folks gathered to catch up on the weekly news, and it was a great place to meet neighbors, their guests and grandchildren.
Plans are already under way for the Farmers Market to continue in 2010. It is hoped to expand and have more booths. If you are interested in participating, contact Sue Jarosh at (920) 823-2288. The market will continue in the same location in Lakeside Park and will be held again Tuesday mornings from mid-June through mid-October.
