Margie (Searl) Meier

On Nov. 3, 2009, in Winchester, Va., Margie (Searl) Meier, good friend, devoted wife and beloved mother was lost to us.

Though much could be written about her many successes, both personal and professional, these would all pale in comparison to the countless lives she has touched, whether in passing on the street or at bedside as a nurse practitioner. Those of us who were privileged to know her owe a debt of gratitude that few will be able to measure. She has left much, because she has given much. Truly, the only thing we take from life is what we give to others.

Margie's life will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13, 2009, in St. Peter Catholic Church, Stevens Point. Her life will be celebrated by her husband, John; her son, TJ; her mother, Cecilia (Lester, deceased) Searl; her sisters, Marie (Greg, deceased) Ostrowski and JoAnn (Jack) Searl-Andison; niece, Samantha Ostrowski; and nephew, James Andison.

In lieu of flowers, any donations made to the Meier family will be used to create a single scholarship for an underprivileged nursing student at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
