Mario F. Camalieri

Mario F. Camalieri, 85, Amherst, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009, at Saint Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point.

He was born Feb. 23, 1924, to Joseph and Virginia (Lojancio) Camalieri. He married Lola Glick on Oct. 19, 1946, in Chicago. He served in the Army during World War II. He moved to Wisconsin in 1975 and purchased an A&W restaurant, then moved to Stevens Point in 1986 to serve in the ministries of the Greater Point Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Lola Camalieri; four sons, Cory Camalieri, David Camalieri, Mark (Karen) Camalieri and Mario (Stacy) Camalieri; two daughters, Cynthia (Roy) Snowbank and Marlo (Brad) Jenson; 12 grandchildren, Erich Wallenberg, Jenny Wallenberg, Johnathan Camalieri, Kyrstyn Jenson, Ben Jenson, Danza Jenson, Samantha Jenson, Carver Jenson, Holly Camalieri, Kelsey Camalieri, Kori Camalieri and Angelo Camalieri; and one sister, Mary Aho. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Virginia Camalieri; and five brothers, Frank Kamely, Nello Camalieri, Michael Camalieri, Christopher Camalieri and Catino Kamely.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, at the Wisconsin Veterans Home main chapel. Pastor Woody Baumgartner will officiate. Burial will be in the Central Wisconsin Memorial Veteran's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday in the chapel.
