Family fun calendar

The following family events will take place in Portage County during the next week.

WEDNESDAY

The Junction City Family Resource Center at Kennedy Elementary School is offering a Stay and Play Playgroup from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. for moms, dads, caregivers and their children as old as age 5. There will be plenty of snacks and activities. Call 341-3609.

The Stevens Point Family Resource Center, 2607 Post Road, Suite 1, is offering a Beyond Birth Playgroup from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. This is a special play group for parents with infants and toddlers.

The Amherst Family Resource Center at the Lettie W. Jensen Community Center is offering a Stay and Play Playgroup from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for moms, dads, caregivers and their children as old as age 5. Call 310-8174.

The Almond/Bancroft Family Resource Center, in Room S325 at Almond Elementary School, offers a Stay and Play Playgroup from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Call Jan at 366-2882.

Little Nature Lovers will be at 10 a.m. at the Central Wisconsin Children's Museum, in CenterPoint MarketPlace. Participants will create special nature projects and play games that explore the things that make the Earth great. The program is free with museum admission. Toddler Music will be at 10:30 a.m. at the Central Wisconsin Children's Museum, in CenterPoint MarketPlace. The class is for children ages 1 to 5. THURSDAY

FRIDAY

The Stevens Point Family Resource Center, 2607 Post Road, Suite 1, is offering a Stay and Play Playgroup from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The play group is open to moms, dads, caregivers and their children as old as age 5. Come and meet new friends. No advance registration is required.

Tots in Motion will be at 10 a.m. at the Central Wisconsin Children's Museum, in CenterPoint MarketPlace. The class is designed to get children moving now and keep them healthy in the future. SUNDAY

Sunday Stories will be at 12:30 p.m. at the Central Wisconsin Children's Museum, in CenterPoint MarketPlace. Special books will be available for parents to read to their children.
