Something readers should know: Going on vacation anywhere with my family is my favorite thing to do. I enjoy watching movies based on Jane Austen novels. Knitting is my hobby, and I have a large supply of yarn, books and magazines based on the subject.

What or who encouraged you to choose teaching as a career? Working as a substitute teacher while my boys were in elementary school was so much fun, that I decided to go back to school to become a teacher.

What has been your most satisfying moment in the classroom? The most satisfying moment in the classroom is when students say to me, "Wow, where did the time go?" It means they are fully engaged in learning and enjoying what they are doing.

What are you looking forward to this school year? I am looking forward to working with the students and staff this school year.

What do you enjoy about teaching? I enjoy watching students as they learn, grow and change throughout the school year.
