Adams County offering children’s H1N1 vaccines

FRIENDSHIP — Adams County Public Health is offering H1N1 injectable and nasal mist vaccine for children, the health department announced today.

The injectable vaccine is available for children 6 months to 35 months and contains thimerosal, a mercurial substance, according to a department news release. The non-thimerosal injectable vaccine is not yet available. In addition, the nasal mist vaccine, which does not contain thimerosal, is available for healthy children ages 2 to 4.

Interested parties can make appointments for the vaccine by calling Adams County Public Health, 608-339-4513.
