New officers

  • Larry Borgard, president and chief operating officer for utilities of Integrys Energy Group Inc., joined the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce board of directors.

    Borgard has spent 25 years in the energy industry and held positions in field operations, regular compliance, transmission and planning.

  • Thomas Harden, University of Wisconsin-Green Bay chancellor, joined the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce's board of directors.

    Prior to becoming chancellor in June, Harden served as president of Georgia's Clayton State University for nine years.

  • The New Community Shelter appointed two new members to its board of directors: Jean Vandelangenberg of Schneider National and Curt Grimm of JBS Packerland.

    They join Tom Olejniczak, president; Sue Olmsted, vice president; Dan Gulling, vice president; Eric Siudzinski, treasurer; Judy Pieschek, secretary; Tom Hinz, the Rev. Bob Rhyner, Keith Pamperin, Jim Arts, Dick Danen, Pat Dickenshied, Terri Refsguard, Barbara Rueckl, Dan Young and Gary Ziegelbauer.

    Emeritus board members are Sheri Prosser, Dennis Allard, Paul Greene, Scott King, Tom Krautkramer, Tom Lutsey and Paul Schierl.

  • Jerry Weidmann, president of Wisconsin Lift Truck Corp., was elected to serve as a board member and vice president of the Material Handling Equipment Distributors Association.

    Weidmann has a bachelor's degree in economics and a bachelor's of business administration degree from St. Norbert College, an MSFS from The American College, and masters certificates in logistics, operations and project management from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Weidmann joined Wisconsin Lift Truck in January of 1991 and became president in 2007.

  • The Professional Insurance agents of Wisconsin named its officers and board of directors for 2009-2010. Area members include Alan Breitenfeldt of Community Insurance and Associates in Tigerton, who was elected treasurer and director.

    New on the job

  • Baylake Bank hired Rick Hearden as senior vice president –director middle market banking.

    John Hauser returned to Baylake after a brief time away from the organization.

  • Tara Robertson, Psy.D., a licensed clinical health psychologist, joined Bellin Health Psychiatric Center.

    Robertson completed a fellowship in psycho-oncology and will work with The Cancer Team at Bellin Health to provide multidisciplinary care to oncology patients and their families.

    Robertson is a graduate of the Wisconsin School of Professional Psychology, and completed her residency and fellowship training through Aurora Medical Group and the University of Wisconsin Medical School, Milwaukee.

    She is a Green Bay area native.

  • MetLife hired Justus Hedeen, CFA, as a financial services representative.

    Hedeen is a graduate of the University of Chicago. He is a registered representative of MetLife and will be seeing clients in the greater Green Bay area and Door County. Before joining MetLife, Hedeen worked as an investment analyst and in commercial real estate.

  • Christine F. Jensema was named chief people officer for the Hospital Sisters Health System Division (Eastern Wisconsin), which is comprised of St. Mary's and St. Vincent hospitals in Green Bay and St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan.

    Jensema will oversee the people services (human resources) function for the division.

    Jensema was administrative director of people services at St. Nicholas Hospital since 1995. She also teaches as adjunct faculty at Silver Lake College.

  • Acts 1:8 Ministry formed the Organizational Design Team that will be lead by Sara Pasterski. The team will allow the organization to have major growth in the Planned Acts of Christian Kindness ministry.

  • Baird hired Denise Wypiszenski as managing director, chief operating officer of Baird's Private Wealth Management group.

    Wypiszenski will focus on supporting Baird's Financial Advisors and branch offices nationwide to better serve clients and grow the business. She also will help advance ongoing recruitment, financial adviser training and other key strategic initiatives.

  • Literacy Green Bay hired Jennifer Nelson as executive director.

    Nelson has 20 years experience in the nonprofit field, with progressive management responsibilities, including grant writing, budgeting, event planning/fundraising, and community collaboration. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.

  • Heather Alexander was hired as a marketing specialist for Baer Performance Marketing in Green Bay.

    Alexander has six years of client management experience, working with two ad agencies and one magazine in the Green Bay area. Most recently, Alexander was a sales planner for Enzymatic Therapy.

  • Tanessa Klug joined the staff of Cerebral Palsy Inc., Allouez. Klug, manager of development, will oversee the operational aspects of Cerebral Palsy's special events, as well as assist with fundraising campaigns and community relations.

    She comes to Cerebral Palsy with several years of experience in marketing management.

  • Lisa Ziegert accepted the position of assistant childcare director for Common Paths Early Education & Care Cerebral Palsy Inc. in Allouez.

    Ziegert, an employee in child care for more than 13 years, will assist in the implementation of the children's daily learning activities, and creating and maintaining a nurturing, safe environment for the children of Common Paths.

    Her new responsibilities will include assisting the childcare director with supervision, instruction, and training of staff, as well as identifying program needs and implementing curriculum guidelines.

  • Place Perfect Realty hired Sandra Loomis to its brokerage team and joins Place Perfect Realty as a residential sales specialist. Loomis is a graduate of Marinette High School and a lifelong resident of the Marinette area.

  • Ledgeview Partners LLC, hired Keven Sprehe and Weldon Amaral.

    Sprehe is taking on the role of a CRM application consultant, while Amaral will be an account manager in the Business Development Services division.

  • David Scholz has joined Time Warner Cable's Wisconsin Division in its Northeastern Wisconsin office as a customer service representative.

  • Bridget Graczyk has joined Fantastic Sams as a senior stylist.

    She is a master colorist and will work at Fantastic Sams on West Mason Street in Green Bay.

    Graczyk is a native of Green Bay.
