Age: 20
Hometown: Negril, Jamaica
Current residence: Fond du Lac
Attended UW-Fox Valley: September 2007 to May 2009
Background before attending UW-Fox Valley: "I graduated from Appleton East HS, in spring 2007. While in high school, after football games on Friday nights, I would go over to the 'Grand Meridian' center and pick up after wedding dinners/dances. I used to travel back to my homeland quite a bit before I had more responsibilities. I would like to get back to the days where I can travel when I want. Jamaica is a beautiful country with beautiful people."
Why did you choose UW-Fox Valley? "At UWFox I was actually a person and not just another body in my classes. The teachers and faculty really know who you are and that's great. I lived at home and got warm, home-cooked meals every night. The cost to attend UWFox is not too bad, and I had the chance to keep competing in basketball."
Major: Broad social studies
What did you find rewarding about attending UW-Fox Valley? "I got a lot of one-on-one time with the teachers and faculty. I learned how not to be shy toward my peers. I enjoyed the time there with the people that surrounded me. It was great to be part of the campus entertainment and fun stuff. Students should enjoy their time in college and get involved.
What are your plans after UW-Fox Valley? "I transferred to Marian University for the fall of 2009. I will have the chance to be a part of the men's basketball team there. I'll be seeking my B.S. degree to become a teacher and a basketball coach."
