October 22, 2009, Manlius, N.Y., David G. Pfohl, 20, died Thursday surrounded by his family after a 13-year battle with Batten's disease. He was the grandson of Bruce and Carol Bell, De Pere.

David loved the Green Bay Packers and the New York Yankees.

He loved his church, Eastern Hills Bible Church, and actively participated in the youth program.

Well-known and loved in his community, David taught many about faith and trusting God through adversity.

Under his senior picture in the yearbook, you will find the words, "Whatever my lot thou hast taught me to say, 'It is well with my soul.'" He lived and died believing this to be true.

David is survived by his parents, Brenda (formerly Brenda Bell, De Pere) and Warren; his brothers, Christopher and Daniel; and locally, Karen and Karl Schmidt (aunt and uncle), Green Bay; Betsy and Paul Keppeler (aunt and uncle) Oconomowoc; and many dear cousins.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Oct. 25, Eastern Hills Bible Church, Manlius, N.Y.
