Presentations by 2 AFS students

The Plymouth AFS Chapter is sponsoring presentations by local AFS students on Thursday, Nov. 12. Rut Hykke Klevstad of Norway and Caroline Timm of Germany will talk about their homelands at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1808 Eastern Ave., Plymouth, starting at 7 p.m.

Parent conferences in Howards Grove

Parents of all senior kindergarten through eighth-grade students in the Howards Grove Schools are invited to fall parent-teacher conferences during the third week of November.

Northview parent conferences have been scheduled for students in senior kindergarten through fourth grade from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 17, and Thursday, Nov. 19 .

Middle school parent conferences for grades five through eight have been scheduled for 4:30 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 17, and Thursday, Nov. 19.

Conferences with elementary and middle school classroom teachers have been scheduled in 15-minute blocks. Each family's scheduled times were sent home with their child Nov. 6. If any family has not received a notice regarding their scheduled time, they should call the respective school office.

Students in senior kindergarten through fourth grade at Northview Elementary will be dismissed at 1:45 on Tuesday, Nov. 17, and Thursday, Nov. 19. Afternoon junior kindergarten students will not be dismissed early; they will remain in class until 3:45. All other students in middle school and high school will be dismissed at the normal time.

Boosters hosting spaghetti dinner

The community is invited to the seventh annual All-U-Can-Eat Spaghetti Dinner sponsored by the Plymouth Riverview Music Boosters.

The dinner will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 10, in the Riverview Middle School cafeteria. Cost is $7 for those ages 10 and up, $5 for younger children. Carryouts will be available.

There will be a silent auction of baskets and other items, including music camp scholarships, Milwaukee Bucks tickets, Brewers memorabilia and tickets to Road America and other local events.

Proceeds will help fund scholarships, concert shirts, solo and ensemble medals, sound-system enhancements and music clinics.

H1N1 vaccination clinics postponed

Voluntary vaccination clinics in Plymouth schools for the H1N1 influenza virus have been postponed until further notice because inadequate supplies of vaccine, according to the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health.

No new dates have been scheduled and the Division of Public Health indicated the delayed clinics may stretch into December.
