Berdine I. Keyes, 77, of 2230 14th St. S., Wisconsin Rapids, died Thursday afternoon, Nov. 5, 2009, at Harmony Living Center.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, at First Baptist Church in Wisconsin Rapids. The Rev. Chuck Bradbury will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Berdine was born in Wisconsin Rapids on Nov. 4, 1932, to Leslie and Mildred (Withers) Swartout. She married James Keyes on Nov. 8, 1952, in Wisconsin Rapids. He died Jan. 12, 1995.
Berdine was employed as a cook at several local restaurants through the years.
Survivors include one son, Michael (Dawn) Keyes, Tatum, Texas; two daughters, Julie (David) David, Vesper, and Leslie (Fred) Krug, Kellner; seven grandchildren, Gerald (Angie) David, Arpin, Jason (Jessica) David, Wisconsin Rapids, Michelle David (significant other, Jim Ashbeck), Theresa Hamus (significant other, Mike) of Wisconsin Rapids, Jamie, Chad Krug, and Laura Pederson of Kellner; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Mildred (Malcolm) Bergan, Wisconsin Rapids; and her special friend, Helen, at the Harmony Living Center. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one son, Gary.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, at Taylor, Vollert and Jennings Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids; and again from 10 a.m. until the time of services Monday at the church.
The family would like to extend their thanks to the Harmony staff and Ministry Home Care Hospice for their special care and thoughtfulness.
