Badger Basket of Edgar weathered major change before recession hit, plant manager Kevin Bardarson says

EDGAR — Badger Basket is a company well acquainted with hardship — so much so that the national recession has hardly registered.

The company, housed in an aging yellow building in the western Marathon County village, designs, sells and distributes baby bassinets, small furniture, storage chests and doll furniture.

It used to manufacture them. But in the early 2000s, plant manager Kevin Bardarson said, the company started making tough choices.
