Marshfield Columbus' Dodge Langreck was unanimously named to the Mid-State All-Conference first team in soccer recently.

Greg Wundrow and Logan Reigel were also named to the first team.

Kyle Olson of Columbus received second-team honors, and Deanna Kaiser, Dan Kruger and Matt Gotz of Columbus were honorable mention selections.

Dons 8th-graders beat Spencer

The Columbus Catholic Dons eighth-grade middle school boys basketball team downed the Spencer Rockets 31-24 on Wednesday night.

Leading scorers for the Dons were Bryce DeSmet with 12 points, while Alex Baierl added seven.

Spencer was led by Nick Johnson with eight points and Jeremiah Cattanach with six.

The Dons will travel to Loyal in their next game on Tuesday.
