Girl, 17, charged in Green Bay stabbing

GREEN BAY — A 17-year-old girl was charged Thursday with first-degree reckless endangerment for allegedly stabbing a 19-year-old woman in the neck during a fight Wednesday on the city's west side.

Kimberly Bessey was charged in Brown County Court with substantial battery in connection with the incident.

Officers found a knife with a red substance on the blade in Bessey's dresser drawer, according to the criminal complaint.

Officers responded at about 11 p.m. to a fight between two women at Badger Park.

According to witnesses, one female pulled a knife and stabbed the other in the neck. The injured woman was taken by friends to St. Mary Hospital. She was later transferred to St. Vincent Hospital due to the severity of the injury, police said.
