Salem-Eldorado hosts Chili and Soup Supper

A Chili and Soup Supper will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, at Salem-Eldorado United Methodist Church, W7910 Church Road, Eldorado.

Cost is $6 in advance, $6.50 at the door or $3.50 for children ages 4 through 10.

People can call 923-5770 for advance tickets.

St. Ann Parish schedules Polka Mass

St. Ann Parish at St. Anna will sponsor a tenderloin tips and ham dinner and Polka Mass at 10 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 8.

Mass music will be provided by the Ralph Thull Good Time Dutchmen. The family-style dinner will be served in the parish hall from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Homemade pies and tortes will be featured for dessert. The price for the meal is $8 for adults and $4 for children age 12 and under. Children 6 and under eat free.

The event also features a silent auction, ornament tree and raffles. Proceeds will benefit the parish. Facilities are handicapped accessible. Catholic Knights is co-sponsoring the event.

Thanksgiving at Pella Lutheran in Waupun

An invitation is extended to singles, couples and/or families who are alone or unable to prepare the traditional Thanksgiving Day meal.

Pella Lutheran Church's 20th annual Thanksgiving Day dinner will be served at noon Thursday, Nov. 26, in the church's fellowship hall.

Reservations should be made by calling 324-9410 by Friday, Nov. 20, in order for the proper amount of food to be prepared.

There is no charge for attending.

Job's Daughters Day will be hosted in Fond du Lac

Fond du Lac will host a joint meeting with Bethels from Appleton and Sun Prairie on Sunday, Nov. 15, at the Masonic Center, 500 W. Arndt St.

Ariel Goerl, Grand Bethel Honored Queen for Wisconsin, will be the special guest. Kelly Saggio is Honored Queen for the Fond du Lac Bethel.

The 2:30 p.m. meeting is open to adults with a Masonic relationship. It will include the initiation of several girls as new members of Job's Daughters.

At 5 p.m. the Jobies will serve a turkey dinner to families of members of groups associated with Masons, including Eastern Star and Amaranth.

A freewill offering will be taken to cover expenses and help with their service project. The Bethel is raising money for Heifer Project to send a pig to a family in need. They are also gathering items to send to a former Jobie, Sergeant Kaitlin Malwitz, who is serving in Iraq.

Spirit of Life plans craft sale, chili dinner

Spirit of Life Church of God is hosting its annual holiday craft sale, bake sale and chili dinner from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at 402 E. Ninth St.

There will be many holiday and Christmas gift items available. Chili dinner to be served all day, with takeouts available.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to help support the local Red Cross.
