PEOPLE OF FAITH: Pat Rogalla

Age: 77

Residence: Town of Maine

Family: Four adult children, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Ministry: Plays piano at local nursing homes for worship services and singalongs. She goes weekly to Bell Tower in Merrill; Kennedy Park in Weston; and Mount View, Wausau Manor and Our House in Wausau, and every other month she goes to Medford. She also plays piano and organ for her church.

Church: St. John's Lutheran Church in the town of Maine.

Motivation: "It really makes people very happy. (Residents) like it when you play," Rogalla said. "The people like to go to church services at the nursing homes, and they like to sing a lot of hymns for the services. It's very satisfying when they ask you to come again soon."

People of Faith appears every Friday on the Community page. To suggest profiles of clergy members or lay people who are living their faith, send information to Jan Kuehlman at jkuehlma@wdhprint.com or PO Box 1286, Wausau WI 54402-1286.
