New physician assistant at Moundview Clinic

For the Daily Tribune

FRIENDSHIP -- Ernestine Wagner, certified physician assistant, will begin seeing patients at Moundview Clinic. She has 10 years of experience as a physician assistant. Her special interests include adolescent and women's health in addition to working with all patient populations in family medicine.

Wagner has more than eight years of experience in family medicine and also has worked in urgent care and emergency medicine. She completed her master's degree in physician assistant studies at Rosalind Franklin University School of Medicine & Science in Chicago.

"I like getting to know my patients and understanding their health problems," Wagner said. "I am very thorough in my work with the goal of providing my patients with high quality medical care. I believe patients need to understand their diseases and treatments and I enjoy taking the time to educate and discuss these issues with them. Excellent health care requires both provider and patient involvement and commitment."

Wagner will see patients at Moundview Clinic for routine family medical needs including: diagnosis and treatment of illnesses, physical exams, laboratory tests, immunizations and counseling on various health issues. Complex medical cases are referred to a physician.

Prior to coming to Moundview Clinic, Wagner worked as a physician assistant in Virginia for nearly four years. She and her husband are excited to move back to central Wisconsin since her husband grew up in the state and her son still lives in the area. In her spare time, she enjoys sewing, crafts, cooking and nature.

To make an appointment, call Moundview Clinic at 608-339-6350.
