Elkhart Lake church helps build school in Malawi

School building project has strong Lakeland ties

Thanks to the donations from the congregation of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Elkhart Lake, a school is being built in Malawi, South Africa.

Moses Madzedze, a May 2009 graduate from Lakeland College, is spearheading the project, with Jeff Elzinga at Lakeland overseeing it.

The school is being built in the Monkey Bay area. It will be the Lizimba Primary School for Lizimba Village.
