Wisconsin native to discuss 'Energy Policy'

WAUPACA — Jennifer Nordstrom, a Wisconsin native now working with Carbon Free, Nuclear Free, a campaign of the Institute for Energy and Environmental Research (IEER), will speak at 6 p.m. Nov. 12 in the lower level meeting room at Waupaca Public Library, 107 S. Main St., Waupaca.

IEER recently completed a study, “Carbon-Free and Nuclear-Free: A Roadmap for U.S. Energy Policy.” Based on the study, the campaign aims to get the United States to commit to a zero CO2 emissions economy without the use of nuclear power by 2050. Nordstrom organizes and coordinates the campaign, including its federal legislative, state and regional, and public education and outreach strategies. Her talk will cover Wisconsin’s campaign.

The presentation is free and open to the public.
