Plymouth Historical Society landmarking 3 homes on Saturday

The Plymouth Historical Society and the City of Plymouth will landmark three homes on Saturday, Nov. 7.

Honored this year are:

The Zerler House, 719 Eastern Ave., built in 1889, current owner Richard Roesgen

The Kennedy House, 104 South St., built in 1892, current owners Gary Semon and Jim Pippert

The Huson House, 405 Collins St., built in 1870, current owner Peg Stahlman.

The public is welcome to join in landmarking these historical properties, which will take place at 1 p.m. at The Zerler House, 1:30 p.m. at The Kennedy House and 2 p.m. at The Huson House. Histories of the original homeowners and the home will be shared at each site with unveiling of the plaque. At the conclusion of each ceremony, attendees can meet the homeowners before proceeding to the next site. At the last home, light refreshments will be served.

As landmarking continues, the historical society intends to develop an audio tour to share the city's history, learn about past residents and to visualize the city's rich architecture.
