Salvation Army seeks holiday bell ringers

The Salvation Army is looking for bell ringers for the holiday season.

Volunteers can assist during two-hour shifts between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.

In Sturgeon Bay, sites include Wal-Mart, Econo Foods, Pick 'n Save and Walgreen's.

In Egg Harbor, bell ringers are needed at Main Street Market.

In Sister Bay, sites are Pamida, Al Johnson's Restaurant and Piggly Wiggly.

In Ellison Bay, the site is the The Pioneer Store.

The bell-ringing campaign will be conducted on Fridays and Saturdays Nov. 20-Dec. 26. Contact Nancy Kexel-Calabresa at (920) 421-0728 to sign up.

In addition, there will be a number of "counter kettles" in various stores and banks throughout the county. Any business that is interested in hosting a counter kettle can contact Tom Mulinix at tmulinix@hotmail.com.

For anyone who would like to directly make a tax-deductible contribution to the kettle campaign, checks made out to The Salvation Army can be sent to Nancy Ditewig, c/o Baylake Bank, P.O. Box 9, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235.
