Clara M. Mielke, 97, Menasha, passed away Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, at Oak Ridge Gardens Nursing Home in Menasha. She was born Aug. 10, 1912, daughter of the late Michael and Angeline (Liebeck) Jaskolski. On Aug. 12, 1939, she married Leo Mielke at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Black Creek. Clara was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Menasha.

Survivors include her children, Catherine Ashenbrenner, Navarino; Elaine (Fred) Maass, Weyawega; Jerome (Gail) Mielke, Kimberly; six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Holowinski, Seymour; and Eleanor (Harold) Bins, Green Bay.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo; son-in-law, Tony Ashenbrenner; grandson, Daniel Maass; six brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call St. John's Catholic Church, 516 De Pere Street, Menasha, on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, from 10 a.m. until funeral services at 11 a.m. with Father Paul Radetski officiating.
