Disc golf course dedicated in Cleveland

After months of planning and hard work by many volunteers, the disc golf course was dedicated at Cleveland Elementary and NEW Montessori School Oct. 19.

Various representatives from the organizations who donated to the project gathered at school to get a look at the completed course and to be on hand for the dedication ceremony. They were:

John Ader: course designer who was instrumental in not only designing and installing the course but also assisted in getting funding for the project. Ader is also a member of the Sheboygan Jaycees.

Jackie Quasuis, Sheboygan Jaycees president, who represented the group which donated $400 to the project

Dennis Sommer, who built the baskets by hand to keep the total cost down for the project.

Village of Cleveland President Cindy Huhn, representing the village, which donated $180.

Sheila Schetter, representing the PTA, who was instrumental in securing funding and installing the course. Schetter wrote and received a grant of $500 from Shape Up Wisconsin Kids and, along with the grant the school PTA, donated $180 to the project.

Julie Mirecki, the director of marketing and college relations for Lakeshore Technical College, which donated $180.
