Frederick and Virginia Boetcher of Sheboygan Falls celebrated their 60th anniversary on Oct. 4, 2009, by hosting a brunch with immediate family at Chissy's Pub and Grill.

The couple was married on Sept. 24, 1949 at St. Paul Lutheran Church.

The former Virginia Van Engen was born March 5, 1930, in Sheboygan Falls.

Her husband was born Aug. 23, 1926, in Sheboygan Falls. He worked 45 years for Richardson Bros. Co., retiring in 1991.

The couple has one child, Barb (Dennis) Petrie of Sheboygan Falls, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
