Royal and Marcella Meyer of North Fond du Lac recently celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with a dinner and dance given by their children at the Eagles Club.

The former Marcella Blish of Sturgeon Bay and Meyer, of Fond du Lac, were married on Oct. 10, 1959, at Good Shepard Ev. Lutheran Church. The Rev. Leroy Ristow officiated. Mary Lou Warbritten and Ted Meyer Jr. served as witnesses.

Royal worked for Fond du Lac Regional Clinic for 48 years and serves as an usher at St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church. Marcella has been a greeter at Wal-Mart for 11 years and is a member of St. Peter's Gleaners Club.

Their children are Heidi and Clifford Klein of North Fond du Lac; Michael and Peggy Meyer of Fond du Lac; Tammy Schibline and her special friend Paul Mullins of North Fond du Lac; and Mark and Lorie Meyer of Lake in the Hills, Ill.

The Meyers have seven grandchildren.
