Sister Bay: Annual meeting set

The annual meeting of the Sister Bay Advancement Association will be Wednesday at The Scandinavian Lodge. Hors d'oeuvres and drinks will be served at 6 p.m., followed by the annual meeting at 7. The SBAA plans to showcase accomplishments from the past year and share exciting plans for 2010.

Feel free to bring a friend or colleague to this community social event.

The Scandinavian Lodge is at 10506 Wisconsin 57.

Fundraiser dinner

Join the Liberty Grove Historical Society for an all-you-can-eat Spaghetti Dinner. This fundraising event will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Viking Grill in downtown Ellison Bay.

In addition to spaghetti, a salad and homemade desserts will be served. A meatless sauce will be available.

The cost is $10 for adults and $6 for children ages 12 and younger.

Library news

With the change of season comes a change in the library's children's program:

When the library hours change Monday, Storytime will change to Saturday mornings at 10:30 a.m. Dates for the next few months are Nov. 7 and 21 and Dec. 5 and 19.

The Eric Carle Caterpillar Reading program begins Monday, when children can sign up at the library.

The program is open to children ages 10 and younger.

After five weeks of reading, children will be entered in a drawing to win prizes, including tickets to a performance of "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" by Eric Carle Jan. 23 at the Weidner Center.
