Reading program
Holly Somerhalder, Fish Creek librarian, reminds children that the Eric Carle Caterpillar Reading Program starts Monday and runs through Dec. 4. Stop in to register and receive your reading track sheet.
Successfully reading five books in five weeks makes one eligible to enter a drawing for tickets to a performance of "The Very Hungry Caterpillar and other Eric Carle Favorites" Jan. 23 at the Weidner Center in Green Bay. A dessert reception will follow.
Technology talk
At noon Oct. 21, local John Brauer gave a 15-minute talk, "Changes in the Technology of Writing IEEE Papers over its 125 years," at the Milwaukee School of Engineering. John is retired from the faculty at MOSE, where he taught electrical engineering.
