WISCONSIN RAPIDS — Katelyn Stine finished third and Maggie Priebe was sixth to lead the Wausau East girls cross country to a Division 1 convincing win at the WIAA state championships today at The Ridges golf course.
The Lumberjacks finished with just 75 points, while the Edgar girls repeated as Division 3 champions.
In Division 2 girls action, Tomahawk’s girls took 11th in the team competition.
On the boys side, Nekoosa, led by Jacob Peterson's fourth-place finish, took second in Division 2, while Tomahawk, the defending state champions, were 12th.
In Division 3, Edgar’s Alex Faber was the top are boys finisher in ninth, while the Rosholt boys finished sixth in the team standings.
In the final race of the day, the Division 1 boys, SPASH took third.
