Habeck, Harold R
Harold R Habeck, 87, formerly of Black Creek, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2009. He was born on December 10, 1921, to the late Otto and Ida (Ziemer) Habeck. On May 14, 1947, he was united in marriage to Adeline Monty.
While in the United States Army, Harold served in Europe during WWII. Harold held several jobs in the Fox Valley area with 30 years being employed by Giddings and Lewis Foundry.
Harold is survived by his son, Al (Carolyn), Hortonville, daughters: Carol (Marvin) Moritz, Bothell, WA; Leona Vander Wielen, Appleton; brothers: Roy (Phyllis) and Ralph; brother-in-law, Zenon Smolarek; sister-in-law Lorraine Spence; 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers: Milton and Ruben, a sister Agnes Smolarek, daughters: Ruby Welson, and Joanne Hermann, sons in law Ed Vander Wielen and Eugene Hermann, a grandson, granddaughter, two great-grandsons, five brothers-in-law, and five sisters-in-aw.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 31, 2009, at St Mary's Catholic Church (301 E Burdick St) Black Creek. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service. A private burial will follow.
