Arleen D. Schmeiser, age 95, of Chilton, died on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at Century Ridge in Chilton.
She was born December 15, 1913 in the Town of Stockbridge, daughter of the late Paul and Meta (Schluchter) Pilling.
She married Herman H. Schmeiser on October 8, 1938 at the Reformed Church in Chilton and the couple farmed together until his death in 1971.
She was a member of Ebenezer UCC and enjoyed sewing and making quilts. Arleen always took great pride in her lawn and loved tracing her and Herman's family genealogy.
Survivors include her children, Ellen (Donald) Gebhart of Chilton, Shirley (Ken) Lisowe of Chilton; 5 grandchildren, Dawn McFarlin, Dean (Sarah) Gebhart, Kevin (Melissa) Lisowe, Kelly (Rick) Brown, Aaron (Tina) Lisowe; and 10 great-grandchildren, Benny, Jonathan, Nicole, Anna, Carson, Amara, Claudia, Owen, Maya, and Makena. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Arleen was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Herman.
Funeral service will be at 3:00 P.M. on Monday, November 2, 2009 at Ebenezer UCC (44 W. Washington) in Chilton with the Rev. Kathy Gloff officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillside Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 1:00 P.M. until 2:45 P.M. on Monday, November 2, 2009.
