'Bipolar Boy' comes to UWSP

Author, speaker and stand-up comedian Paul E. "Bipolar Boy" Jones will present "A Bipolar Discussion" from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Laird Room of Dreyfus University Center at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

Pacelli to hold open house

Pacelli High School will hold its annual fall open house from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 9. The event is for students in grades six through eight from public or parochial schools.

The evening includes a tour of the school with the opportunity to visit with students, staff members and parents. Refreshments will be served, and raffle prizes, including two $250 vouchers for eighth-grade students to apply toward 2010-11 tuition, will be given away.

Your Halloween photos wanted

Does your child have the ultimate Halloween costume? Show him or her off in the Stevens Point Journal.

The Journal will include photos of children dressed up as furry critters, superheroes or other holiday favorites on a reader-submitted photo page. So while you are out trick-or-treating or participating in costume contests or Halloween parties, take some photos and send them in.
