Holiday event set for Nov. 22
TWO RIVERS — Holiday Fiesta will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 22 at St. Peter the Fisherman Parish Hall, 3218 Tannery Road.
The event, presented by St. Peter the Fisherman Council of Catholic Women, will feature crafts, handmade items, holiday bakery, a children's raffle, cake walk and silent auction. Photos with Santa will be from 9 a.m. to noon. Food and carryouts will be available.
Mishicot fish fry is set for Nov. 6
MISHICOT — The Kettle Range Snow Riders will hold a fish fry from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Nov. 6 at the Mishicot Vet's Club, 314 W. Main St. The public is welcome.

HFM offers home health care events

n "The Expert is In" — Diane O'Hearn, licensed practical nurse with HFM's Home Health Care department, will address questions and concerns about home health care-related issues in a relaxed, question-and-answer format from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday.
n "Coffee and Conversation" — Free coffee from HFM's Espresso Connection, along with casual conversation on home health care services, will be offered from 9 to 10 a.m. Nov. 16.
Fundraiser to help theater students
MANITOWOC — Dare to Dream Holiday Shopping Extravaganza will take place from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the theater, 634 N. 10th St. There will be vendors, door prizes, raffles and crafts to make and take.

Facilities cancel trick-or-treating
MANITOWOC — In an effort to protect the health of the residents and the community, treat-or-treating scheduled Saturday at Shady Lane nursing care center and Laurel Grove assisted living center has been canceled.
"Considering the number of flu cases being reported in the community, we have decided that it is in everyone's best interest to cancel trick-or-treating," said Theresa Patrick, director of community relations in a news release.
Church plans chili lunch and supper
MANITOWOC — Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1712 Menasha Ave., will hold a chili lunch and supper from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 6:30 p.m. Nov. 10.
Cost is $4.50 for adults and $2 for children 11 and under.
Benefit supper is set for Nov. 6
REEDSVILLE — A benefit Haystack Supper for Reedville Amish School will take place from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Nov. 6 at St. Mary's Church/Historical Building, 615 Menasha St.
The all-you-can-eat meal of hamburger, lettuce, rice, veggies, hot cheese sauce, crackers and chips costs $10 for adults and $5 for ages 12 and younger. There also will be a bake sale.
Awards program seeks nominations
MANITOWOC — The Manitowoc County Historical Society seeks nominations for its Historic Preservation Awards program, which recognizes significant contributions to the preservation of Manitowoc County's historic resources.
Adaptive Reuse; Restoration; Preservation Service; and the Bob Fay Award for Lifetime Achievement awards will be presented at the society's annual meeting and banquet Jan. 21, 2010.
Nomination forms should be returned to the Manitowoc County Heritage Center, 1701 Michigan Ave., no later than Dec. 11. Forms are available at www.mchistsoc .org, the Heritage Center and at historic sites and libraries across the county.
