Brownsville area news Halloween party

A children's Halloween costume party will be held Friday, Oct. 30, at St. Andrew's Hall in LeRoy.

Doors open at 6 p.m. for registration. Costume parade judging begins at 6:30 p.m. Children ages 12 and under can register for the costume judging.

Children's games will be available.

A freewill offering will be accepted at the door.

Mayville news Miss Heritage Fest

Entries for this year's Miss Heritage Fest are due by Friday, Oct. 30.

Girls between the ages of 4 and 18 are encouraged to apply. Winners will be chosen from three age groups: ages 4-8, 9-13 and 14-18.

Entrants must submit a photo, along with name, address and phone number and answers to the following questions:

What are your special interests or hobbies?

Why do you want to be this year's Miss Heritage Fest?

What would you like to see as part of next year's Heritage Fest?

Entries can be sent to the Main Street Mayville office, 52 N. Main St., Mayville, Wis., 53050.

Winners of each age group will receive a crown and sash and will ride in this year's holiday parade.

Marais Players

Community theater group The Marais Players will present "On Golden Pond" Nov. 6-8 and Nov. 13-15 at the Mayville American Legion, 134 S. Main St.

Play-only performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 6-7 and 13-14, as well as at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, and Nov. 15. Cost for play-only performances is $10 per person.

Dinner theater performances will be held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, and Sunday, Nov. 15, and at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14. Cost for dinner theater performances is $25 per person.

Tickets are available at Mountin's Piggly Wiggly in Mayville or by calling Diane Rabehl at 387-2505.

Fundraiser

The sixth annual Women and Youth Sporting Education Fall Fundraising Banquet will begin at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, at the Mayville Gun Club, W2868 Farmersville Road.

Dinner begins at 7:30 p.m. The event is open to the public.

Band concert

The Mayville High School music department will present a tragedy-and-comedy-themed pops concert featuring middle school and high school choirs at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 9 in the Mayville High School auditorium.

Tickets at the door will be $5 per person or $12 per family.

Lomira area news Wreath sale

Lomira area Scouts are now selling holiday wreaths.

Orders must be placed by Nov. 1 for delivery by Thanksgiving. All profits benefit area Scouting programs.

Main Street Mayville Trick or Treat: 3 to 6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 31.

Theresa: 3 to 6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 31.

Lomira: 3 to 5 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 31.

Horicon: 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 31.

Brownsville: 4 to 6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 31.

Iron Ridge: 4 to 7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 31.
