William 'Bill' Faber

William "Bill" Faber, 78, town of Easton, died peacefully Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009, at his home.

He was born Feb. 28, 1931, in the Netherlands, son of the late Jelle and Hilda (Siedsma) Faber. In 1955 he married Irene Zylstra in Holland. She survives.

William immigrated to the United States and found his home in central Wisconsin. He spent his working life as a truck driver known to many as "Dutchie" and as a skilled carpenter. His family is very proud of his "Faber built" reputation and his work ethic.

Survivors include his wife, Irene, town of Easton; children, Jack (Connie) Faber, town of Easton, Patty (Joe) Barrick, Hatley, Hilda (Dan) Ericksen, Merrill, and Wilt (Diane) Faber, town of Easton; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth St., Wausau.
