MEDFORD -- More than 340 partners and volunteers from medical centers across Wisconsin attended the annual Partners of Wisconsin Hospital Association Inc., State Convention held Oct. 6 to 8 at the Ramada Inn in Stevens Point. The theme for the three-day conference was "Recipe for Success: Be the Best You Can Be."
The Memorial Health Center Volunteers group, an affiliate member of the Partners of Wisconsin Hospital Association, was recognized at the convention with the Honor Points Award. The Honor Points Award recognizes those volunteer groups that are active on a district and state level, produce newsletters and coordinate scholarship programs. Representing and accepting the award for the Memorial Health Center Volunteers were Louise Paul and Dee Habeck, MHC Volunteers co-presidents.
The Memorial Health Center Volunteers is a local organization with more than 50 members. Its mission is to promote and support Memorial Health Center through education and service activities. Every year it coordinates hospital tours for area elementary students, assists with monthly blood drives, and holds the Lites of Love remembrance ceremony and tribute for the benefit of Memorial Health Center and future medical professionals who graduated from high schools within Memorial Health Center's service area.
