Two people were hospitalized after a crash west of Random Lake early Saturday morning, authorities said.

The crash occurred about 3:30 a.m. at state Highway 144 and Lynn Road, said Lt. John Detienne.

According to Detienne:

Michael Neu, 55, of Random Lake was crossing Lynn on eastbound Highway 144 when a southbound car pulled out of the stop sign and across his path. The southbound car was a 1990 Ford Tempo driven by Fredric Walsh, 56, of Sheboygan Falls.

Neu's 1997 Dodge Stratus struck the passenger door of the Tempo.

Both men suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and were taken by ambulance to St. Nicholas Hospital. Walsh was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign.
