Talk, book-signing at Mead Library with Dave Moyer

A free book talk, sale and signing will be held at Mead Public Library featuring the novel "Life and Life Only" by Sheboygan native Dave Moyer. The event will be held at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 4, in the library's Rocca Meeting Room.

"Life and Life Only" follows the story of Dan, an all-star baseball players who has big hopes of making the major leagues and falling in love, but watches his dreams disappear when he endures a sports injury and a crumbling marriage. But when fortune steps in with a second chance, he has the opportunity to pay forward a favor.

Moyer was born and raised in Sheboygan. He has a degree in English from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a master's from Eastern Kentucky University and a doctorate from Northern Illinois University. He is a school administrator in suburban Chicago.

He began his career as a teacher, won a state championship as a high school baseball coach, ventured into college coaching and later returned to secondary education. He lives in Crystal Lake, Ill., with his wife and five children.
