WIAA girls volleyball regionals: Notre Dame, Denmark advance

Green Bay Notre Dame downed Southern Door 25-18, 25-17, 25-10 in a WIAA Division 2 girls volleyball regional semifinal on Friday night.

Erin Lehman had 17 kills, Andrea Larsen had 15 digs and Becca Mastey tallied 30 assists for the Tritons.

DENMARK — Courtney Ullmer had 15 kills as Denmark defeated Little Chute 25-21, 25-18, 25-18.

Breanne Brocker had 11 digs and nine kills and Kristin Kozlovsky tallied 29 assists for Denmark.

LUXEMBURG — Luxemburg-Casco downed Kiel in second-round regional action, 25-9, 25-20, 25-19. Amanda Jeske had 21 assists and Karissa Renard added 20 digs for the Spartans.

SEYMOUR — Melanie Behnke had 12 kills and Heather Drephal added 29 assists as Seymour downed Shawano in three straight, 25-7, 25-16, 25-10.

APPLETON — Appleton Xavier downed Wrightstown 25-14, 25-11, 25-23. Katelyn Falck had 17 assists and 10 digs to lead the Tigers.

OCONTO FALLS — Nicole Garbrecht had 29 kills as Oconto Falls rallied after dropping the first set to win in four, 24-26, 25-16, 25-23, 30-28.

Kali Opsahl had 15 kills and 19 digs, Beth Rieth had 14 kills and 16 digs and Sara Dorow added 25 assists for Oconto Falls.

Division 3

INSTITUTE — Dianne Jorgenson had 18 kills and nine blocks as Sevastopol defeated Reedsville 25-22, 20-25, 25-22, 25-19 to advance to the regional finals.

Jessica DeMeuse had 14 kills and Robin Schopf added 30 assists for the Pioneers.

PESHTIGO — Alaena Wocking had 23 kills and 11 digs to lead Gillett over Peshtigo 14-25, 25-21, 25-18, 26-24.

Sam Stycznski had 13 kills and Ali McQuillan had 17 assists and nine digs for Gillett.

Bailey Kunz had 26 kills and Marissa Jahnke had 15 digs and 11 assists for Peshtigo.

OCONTO — Bonduel knocked off Oconto in five sets, 20-25, 25-23, 25-23, 20-25, 15-13.

Abby Reinke had 23 assists and Jennifer Woldt had 16 kills to lead Bonduel.

Danialle Bowen had 26 kills while Emilie Geurts added 15 kills and 32 digs for Oconto.

Division 4

HILBERT — N.E.W. Lutheran defeated Hilbert in a regional semifinals match, 25-20, 21-25, 25-19, 25-16.

Rachel Bordeleau had nine kills, Carly Valentine had 14 assists and seven kills and Cassie Sarokin tallied 22 digs for the Blazers.

WAUSAUKEE — Wausaukee upended Niagara in second-round regional action, 21-25, 25-13, 25-20, 25-8.

Brooke Arndt had 18 kills and Trista Fick added 29 assists for Wausaukee.

Jamie Skowronek had nine kills and Cali Trepp had 38 digs for Niagara.

FLORENCE — Florence gave Wabeno all they could handle but eventually fell in five, 13-25, 24-26, 25-18, 25-16, 15-13.

Katie Brownson had 19 kills, Annete Lemanski had nine kills and Mariah Gatzow tallied 15 assists for Florence.
