Donald "Don" R. Oosterhous, 92, of St. Cloud, died Thursday evening, October 22, 2009 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.
He was born October 25, 1916 in Wauwatosa, WI to the late John and Ottila Peterson Oosterhous.
Don graduated from Waldo High School and received his Cheesemaker License from U.W. Madison.
On January 17, 1944 he married Armella Brandt; she preceded him in death on February 20, 1994.
Don had owned a cheese factory in the Town of Forest, had worked at Baker's Cheese and retired from Kohler Co.
Survivors include his son, John (Terrie) Oosterhous of St. Cloud; a daughter-in-law, Beverly Oosterhous of Neenah; 7 grandchildren, Johnnie Oosterhous, Lynn (Aaron) Krebs, Michelle (Todd) Queen, Chad Develice, Melissa Develice, Joe Oosterhous and Brad (Beth) Oosterhous; 5 great-grandchildren and 2 brothers, Dr. George Oosterhous of Madison and Raymond Oosterhous of Le High Acres, FL.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Armella; a son, Dean Oosterhous; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Oosterhous; a grandson, Jason Oosterhous and a sister, Marge Sterling.
Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Monday, October 26, 2009 at the Sippel Funeral Home 1311 Thorp Street St. Cloud. Rev. Steven Kropp OFM Cap. will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Cloud Catholic Church Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Sippel Funeral Home on Monday, October 26 from 4:00 P.M. until the time of services.
